Section 2 - Ingredients of Product

This product contains a broad array of mixed post-consumer and post-industrial plastics in addition to Auto Shredder Residue (ASR).

ASR is the by-product of shredding an automobile. The primary ingredients are those used to manufacture upholstery, fabric trim, rubber, plastic, glass and trace amounts of metal.

Post-consumer and post-industrial plastics may contain commercially available dyes and pigments at levels less than 1% but sometimes at levels greater than 1% for titanium dioxide (CAS# 001344-37-2) carbon black (CAS# 01333-86-41) or chrome yellow (CAS# 001344-37-2).

Dust or sawdust particles may cause a slipping hazard. Sweep or vacuum the product into
containers for disposal in accordance with local, provincial and federal regulations or for reuse.

Solid or dusts may cause irritation or corneal injury due to mechanical action.

Skin contact:
Essentially non-irritating to skin

Skin absorption:
Skin absorption is unlikely due to physical properties

Ingestion:
No hazards anticipated from ingestion incidental to industrial applications.
A physician should be consulted if large amounts are ingested.

Systemic and other effects:
No specific data available. However, repeated exposures are not anticipated to cause any adverse effects. Pigments and dyes are fully encapsulated in the resin and are not expected to cause any hazardous conditions when used in accordance with good material handling procedures. Airborne particles of this material should be considered as a nuisance dust.

Eyes:
Irrigate immediately with water for at least 5 minutes, mechanical effects only, seek medical
attention.

Skin:
No adverse effects anticipated by this route of exposure. Wash exposed area with mild soap and water in accordance with good hygiene practices. If skin sensitivity should occur seek medical advice.

Ingestion:
No adverse effects anticipated by this route of exposure. If pain and/or discomfort occurs seek
medical attention.

Inhalation:
No adverse effects anticipated by this route of exposure. If respiratory irritation occurs, remove affected person from work area. Obtain medical attention if irritation persists.

Normal safety practices apply. Always wear gloves and steel toe CSA/UL approved work boots when working with this product. Always wear CSA/UL approved eye protection when cutting, drilling product or handling product in a fashion whereby splintering may occur.
